HARSH REALITY: Today’s workplaces are broken. It’s no secret that most of us are disillusioned.
We were told our entire lives that we needed to get an education, get good grades, get a good job, and we’d live happily ever after.
So, how’s that working out for you?
Ugh. That was me too.
I’m Barri, and I’m so excited to introduce you to The Eureka Project so you can see a path to greater success — for yourself, and for all of us.
One thing that I’ve noticed about the world of work: It can feel a lot like my old high school cafeteria, with all the cliques and in-groups, no shortage of mean girls staring us down as we walk down the hall in wearing hot pink Converse hi-tops.
Maybe the smart geeks have launched multi-billion dollar start-ups.
Maybe the jocks now flaunt their competitive prowess as sales execs and department leaders.
But most likely, their people skills haven’t improved any over the years.
So where does that leave you and me? We’re the regular folx who want to do good work, and also want to find some balance and enjoyment in our personal lives?
I’ll tell you where it leaves us. Squeezed. Burnt out. Eating carbs and drinking wine or beer to numb out after a hard day of back-to-back 30-minute meetings that all seem to lead to…more meetings.
Shaking our heads collectively and wondering when we lost all semblance of common sense as our fearless leaders spew the flavor of the month wisdom gleaned from the latest leadership book.
Here’s what I want you to know, and I’m going to yell it LOUDLY from the rooftops.
YOU DESERVE BETTER! WE ALL DESERVE A HECK OF A LOT BETTER!
But what does better look like?
It’s not quiet quitting – that’s a short term band-aid and still leaves you feeling disrespected.
It’s not disengagement. That leaves you smiling and nodding while you wait and dream of something better.
It’s not pushing through. That leaves you sacrificing your health and important relationships.
Better looks like…
You knowing that this is NOT as good as it gets.
You knowing that it’s your time to flourish, at work and in life.
You knowing that your value is in who you are, not what you do.
And I want you to find that “better.” That’s why I launched The Eureka Project.
The Eureka Project is on a mission to evolve how we work.
At The Eureka Project, we build flourishing workplaces and trust-based relationships.
There’s an evolution underway, and The Eureka Project is building momentum toward the tipping point where trust & flourishing are the norm.
For you.
For your colleagues.
For all of us.
Because at The Eureka Project, your better is what matters most.
